Common Questions

How many people do I need to host a course?
There is no strict minimum, but group pricing applies for 6 or more participants. Smaller groups are welcome — reach out and we'll find a solution that works.
Do you bring the horses?
No — courses are held at your facility using your horses. This makes the training immediately relevant to your animals and your environment, which is exactly the point.
How far do you travel?
We are based in the North Okanagan, British Columbia. Travel within the region is standard. For locations further afield, reach out and we'll discuss what's possible.
What does my facility need to provide?

Not as much as you might think! The essentials are access to washrooms (a must for full-day courses) and horses for the hands-on portion — bandaging, vitals, and scenario practice. We keep it to a maximum of 4 participants per horse so everyone gets quality time.

A power source for the presentation, shelter from the elements, and seating or tables are all helpful but not dealbreakers. We're experienced working in all kinds of setups and happy to problem-solve with you before booking.

Come dressed for the weather and ready to move — we'll be outside and hands-on with horses for most of the day.

If you're not sure whether your facility works — just ask. Chances are it does.

Is lunch included for full-day courses?
Catered lunch can be arranged for full-day courses at the host's discretion. Ask us about options when you inquire — it's a great way to make the day feel like an event for your community.
Is a deposit required to book a date?
Yes — a deposit is required to reserve your date. It is fully refunded on the day of the course. Alternatively, you can gift it as a complimentary spot for someone in your community. Hosts with 12 or more students receive two complimentary spots. (EHC courses only.)
What happens at a bodywork clinic?

Bodywork clinics are educational group sessions focused on equine body awareness, movement assessment, and hands-on demonstration. You'll learn to read your horse's body, identify areas of tension or compensation, and understand how bodywork supports performance and recovery.

Horses are the best teachers — bring yours, or attend with your barn community and learn together. A great complement to any first aid training.

Do you do barn talks or speaking engagements?
Yes! Barn talks and first aid demos are a shorter, lower-commitment option — typically 60 to 90 minutes. They're a great fit for barn nights, club meetings, pony club or 4-H events, and open houses. Speaking engagements for larger events and conferences are also welcome. Use the inquiry form above to tell us what you have in mind.
