Courses Offered
Equine Health and Emergency First Aid — Full Day | $169 The essential foundation for every horse owner. Working hands-on with horses, you'll learn what your vet needs to know when you call, how to take proper vital signs, and how to respond to lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, and hoof emergencies. Includes pain recognition, spinal health, and injury prevention. All attendees receive a certificate of completion, a first aid manual, professional development credits with Equestrian Canada, and eligibility for equine-related insurance discounts.
Advanced Equine Emergency First Aid — Full Day | $169 Plan. Prepare. React — to any emergency. A highly advanced course covering extreme situations including trapped horses, poison, burns, bites, hypo and hyperthermia, tie-ups, fractures, and sucking chest wounds. Designed to prepare you for the most serious injuries where human intervention is the difference. The foundational first aid course is recommended prior to attending.
Advanced Wilderness Equine First Aid — Full Day | $169 Built for the outdoor and backcountry rider. A wilderness version of the advanced course with a camping and stitching component, covering trapped horses, poison, burns, bites, hypo and hyperthermia, tie-ups, fractures, and more. Because emergencies don't wait for cell service.
Disaster Planning and Emergency Preparedness — Full Day | $169 A must for any livestock owner or barn manager. Covers fire prevention, safe evacuation procedures, hidden dangers, and first aid response to natural disasters including wildfires, flooding, ice storms, and more. Supported by the insurance industry and suitable for any livestock operation.
Equine First Aid Fundamentals — Half Day | $99 A fast-paced, hands-on clinic covering the essentials. You'll learn to take vital signs, recognize pain, detect colic, and practice bandaging in realistic scenarios. All attendees receive a first aid reference booklet.
Backcountry First Aid Condensed — Half Day | $59 Backcountry riding is some of the most breathtaking, challenging, and potentially hazardous riding you'll ever do. This condensed course helps you plan your ride, prepare your horse, your pack, and yourself — and react with confidence and skill if something goes sideways. Includes a mini-guide that fits in your saddlebag, so your reference is always with you when it counts. Because emergencies don't wait for cell service.
Kids "I Can Help!" — 3 Hours | $59 Horse-crazy kids deserve to feel prepared too. This 3-hour program teaches horse safety and basic first aid in a fun, hands-on environment. Includes a recipe for horse cookies in their manual and a frameable certificate of completion. No horse experience necessary.
Essentials in Emergency Preparedness — 2 Hours | $49 Most horse owners think: it won't happen to me. But fires are becoming increasingly common, and nature doesn't wait for a convenient time. Would you be able to evacuate your animals in time? Would you know how to shelter in place? This condensed training covers the essentials of disaster planning for livestock owners and can be hosted at your facility or accommodated for large groups at town hall meetings. Large group discounts available for 50+ attendees.
